Default Alternate Filter For Typhoon

I recently bought a used typhoon, but the filter is so dirty, I'm thinking about just buying another filter instead of cleaning it. So since I'm buying another filter anyway, i was thinking about maybe getting a different one than the regular k&n. My current choices are:
1) APEX'i Power Intake Filter
2) AEM
3) Regular K&N

Reasons
-It seems that the Apex'i may provide better gains, but does anyone know for certain? The Zero maintenance is also nice
-I like the AEM because, similar to the Apex'i, I like the idea of the dry system and it's extreme ease of cleaning and what seems to be very good filtration
- K&N cause it's proven

Overall, I'm hoping for the filter that provides the best gain, while still does a good job filtering out airborne junk. So I'm open to any other suggestions (Useful ones please ):

I had the Apex'i intake in my old DSM. I loved it, but now I have the Typhoon in the Z with the KN filter and havent had any problems. Id just spend the 20 for the recharge kit and call it good.
