no proper venturi= intake blows its wad into the laminar airflow across the MAF= your car sounds cool, loses 2 mpg and now gets beat by station wagons. Stock airbox and stock filter ftw until highly modified.

read this.

Budget versus brand name is a common question. There are brand name intakes, Jim Wolf to name one, that have proven reliable with members for 8 years. Figure $110 for a proven intake or $55 knockoff. The choice is yours.

the cheap ebay intakes include some really cheap couplers and worm gear clamps. By the time you replace the couplers and clamps you could buy a better intake from the get go.

Since this topic has been literally reposted 5 times, I have merged the threads together for one Ebay intake thread.

Feel free to ask your questions here.

No I don't, but I'm guessing you're not an English major.

Intakes are a waste of time and money, even if it's the $300 Nismo one. I like plenum spacers and test pipes for budget mods under $500.

The intake noise is more of a engine growl and i have a custom made cat back dual exhaust in the garage but there's to much drone and cabin noise that its just annoying, plus i like the sound of the stock one, anyway to get the stock exhaust sound but louder?
