no proper venturi= intake blows its wad into the laminar airflow across the MAF= your car sounds cool, loses 2 mpg and now gets beat by station wagons. Stock airbox and stock filter ftw until highly modified.

drop in k/n? meh.. its hard to resist, but truthfully, i tried them both as others did.. and went right back to the stock box and fram filter until i had all the NA bolt on parts and tuned.
btw..is anyone else astonished this thread made it to 2 pages?

Intakes are a waste of time and money, even if it's the $300 Nismo one. I like plenum spacers and test pipes for budget mods under $500.

The intake noise is more of a engine growl and i have a custom made cat back dual exhaust in the garage but there's to much drone and cabin noise that its just annoying, plus i like the sound of the stock one, anyway to get the stock exhaust sound but louder?
