Would be a nice drive, I have Mondays off and friends in San Jose I could holler at for a minute. Would you throw in an N20 run for me? Save me 60 bucks (break even on gas though.)

If not, anyone closer to this City? Santa Cruz guy?

Let's make this happen. The Company is opening up their doors to us to see the actual Dyno, this offer doesn't come along every day. I think it would be fun and educational.

P.S. I have matured and reactivated my web page profile. I hope to be adding pics to it next week. Getting kind of broke but I wanna Dyno this Zex too!

I'm only about an hour away from Pomona -- but i'm not every experienced with Dynos.

I can see if I can take a buddy along that has more experience.

I'm getting an AEM installed tomorrow -- Would Injen be interested in also doing a head-to-head dyno against the AEM intake?

Good scores is guaranteed to get most potential AEM buyers to switch over!

MaxHax,

Good to see you posting again. So soon even!

I would like to check out a dyno sometime, but can't go during the week (and I'm pretty new to mods, so I'm better as an obeserver than a contributer). I think some of the bay area members are doing a dyno day soon (March 8th) in Fremont, so if you have the time you may want to check that out. Would be about 2-3 hours from Sacramento (maybe quicker with nitrous ).

I'd be interested in the track day you mentioned on April 2nd. It's right after my birthday, so I don't know if I'll be able to make it, but I was wondering if you had more information about the even. Webpage or summary maybe? I'm not much of a drag guy (more of a road racer), but I'd really like to see your car run with it's nitrous (always makes me think of that old arcade game with the 4X4's and you could pick up the nitrous and give yourself that little boost).

What is the margin of error in a dyno? I would think that any given car, in any given gear, would put out about the same amout of hp, under standard conditions, over multiple runs. I mean, as long as temp/wind are controlled for, there shouldn't be too many variables. That means, if we're seeing ~6hp differences on consecutive dyno runs, the dyno must have at least that as it's margin of error. If that's the case, measuring a mod that produces less than that is basically meaningless.

Default Hey Doh!

Here is a link to the Apr 2nd event.

We could have an after B-Day dinner for you too!

read around here at the different links

It has some good NHRA (National Hot Rod ***) rules for racing too. The Tech in here at this strip isn't very tight, no sweat.

Windows up, seatbelt on, no shorts or T-Tops and a helmet and everyone will be OK.

The observation spot is right next to the pit so just paying 6 bucks you can hang out with the racers and talk while they wait in line and you can also park about 30 feet from the staging lanes I would love to see at leat 4 Z's there! Represent on Import Night!

Look under Specialty Nights, that is what this is under Wednesday Night Events!

To the other person,

I agree about Dyno's not showing gains is a waste of money but there in lies the problem. If you do a mod and don't Dyno and then do another then Dyno how do you know where the gains (or losses) came from? Expensive but worth the data if you want to know aht works don't works. The track is a cheaper option.
15 bucks if your wrench handy you mod unmod there right at the track. I see people do it all the time.
