Default A/F Guage Question

I spent a while looking for my answer before asking it, but maybe i searched wrong...

Question: where did you get your A/F signal from? (exact location) other question is, what numbers are good numbers for the voltage range?

thanks.

A/F gauges simply monitor the output of the O2 sensor. And unless you invest in a wideband O2 sensor, A/F gauges are pretty much useless.

Standard OEM-type O2 sensors are really more like switches than sensors. They are designed to monitor whether the A/F is above or below stoich (14.5:1) They are NOT designed to accurately monitor the full range of A/F.

well basically thats all i want to know, if im running rich or not... I'm going to be spraying a DRY 75 shot, so my A/F really matters.... does it matter which O2 sensor I tap into, to get my signal?

Don't waste your time. If you need to montior a/f, then get a wideband.

Worthless... Buy this...

Includes gauge, wideband O2 sensor and all the wiring you are going to need. They work great and are not very expensive at all...

Anyone who sells AEM can sell this to you. Running a dry NOS system is also not the best way to go unless you are wiring it to run WOT only.

definatly WOT, i had this set up on my 2000 eclipse GT. i have RPM window switch, WOT switch, and a dual arming switch, (1 for pwer, and 1 slap switch, so I wont spray in 1st gear, once i hit 2nd gear, i slap this switch, and it activates everything)

How about an A/F Gauge that works WITH your wideband?

To monitor a/f ratios correctly, you need a wideband. **end of story**
