gasket help
Where can I get replacement cat back gaskets for the Nismo exhaust?
My local Nissan guy had no idea.
Is the stock midpipe gasket the same as the Nismo's?
I have blown threw 2 make shift temporary/gaskets and I'm sick of brining it in all the time and getting a new midpipe gasket put in, that will last a week or so up to 3 months, then leak/blow out.
I need the right sized gasket.
The one that came with the system blew out because of a faulty??? or loose bolt. The bolt broke, came out after 2 hours or something which blew out the original gasket.
Since then I have gone thru 2 replacement gaskets.

2 for the Cat / Y-Pipe
1 for the Y-Pipe / Mid Pipe
1 for the Mid Pipe / Muffler (its the ring...)
then bolts / nuts for the mid-pipe / y-pipe / muffler and two nuts for the cat / y-pipe

In this pic, the gasket i have that keeps giving me problems and they keep replacing is the single one on the Y pipe.
See how the Y pipe has the 2 openings in the front that go to the Cats?
I need the single gasket or whatever that goes to the single opening on the opposite end of that Y pipe.
Is that O-ring used on that junction or does it just use a gasket there?
I didn't install the system and the directions are long gone. Wish I would have asked for them back when they were done.

The O ring is used between the mid pipe and the muffler... not with the gasket you are talking about...
that gasket always leaks a little bit unfortunatly...
and these gaskets that come with aftermarket exhausts are the type that blow out... they are not metal re-enforced or full metal... :-/

Maybe I will get lucky again.
Right now it sounds a bit loud at idle but sounds sweet above 2-2,500 rpm haha but I would rather not have it leak at all.
Maybe I should just have them see if they can somehow make some kind of a slip on setup at that junction, that would not use any gasket at all, like a slip on that some bikes use.
