Man, your car is already beefed up enough. What next, jet engine attached to the rear?

Just minor things for now. They are just custom...

Great choice in exhaust my friend. Can't wait to hear it. Sounds like you've got a couple things going on w/ the car. Can't wait to see it.

it is from the rear brace in the hatch. I also think it is the same as the Z that is on the normal door seal plates.

BTY, the SS version and Ti version do have a distinctly different sound. The resonance on the Ti sounds more exotic and unique. The SS however does sound quite good as well.
So are you saying that the Nismo is louder than both the SS and the Ti versions of the Fuji exhaust? I know that Fuji makes the Nismo but I dont understand why the Nismo is louder. I have heard different things.. some say Nismo is louder some say the Fuji Ti is louder. BTW I have the Nismo on my car. I want to know how it sounds compared to the Fuji Ti. BTW Vandy, your car looks awesome. I love the vertical "Z"s going down on your car.

I would for sure say the Fuji Ti is quieter than the Nismo. I actually thought it was quieter than the stock exhaust, which it is not, but very very close.

The nismo exhaust was contracted out by Nissan to Fujitsubo, but it really is not the same exhaust as the LegalisR. It is hard to make descriptions on sound but if I had to, I would say the Fujitsubo branded exhausts are a "tuned" sound and the Nismo is more of an "aggressive" sound.

Your knowledge of the design is impressive. If you don't mind me asking, where did you aquire all this knowledge?

The NISMO is louder than the Fujitsubo for sure. The NISMO maintains the "hollow" note that the stock exhaust has; the Fujitsubo does not have the hollow note at all. The NISMO also has a bit of a drone while on the highway, neither of the Fujitsubo's have this either.

While the Y pipes and midpipes on the Fuji and NISMO are nearly the same, the muffler sections are not, and it's the muffler section of any exhaust that really determines the note it emits.

Thnx Junior. It should be in tomorrow. I was gonna install it on my uncle's lift but decided not too because I would have to install it on Saturday, and I'm pretty busy that morning.. I gonna install it in my shop instead. I'll make sure and take pictures for you guys.

Well a little here and a little there. LOL I bought one of the 3 original Fuji Ti exhausts imported to the US by the owner of this site. He put one on his car and had 2 for sale I think. Mine is one of those other two, and it went a few hands before it ended up on my car. Long story short, before I dropped an insane amount on an exhaust I really wanted to know what I way buying. We even cut up a stock exhaust and saw that is was a relatively free flowing exhaust and really was chambered for sound. With very few initial U.S. marketed exhaust offerings (fujitsubo, nismo, borla, stillen) it was common knowledge that the Nismo was produced for Nissan by fujitsubo and the most popular. Back in the day, there was very little product out for the car, and us hard core people really know the in's and out's of what was out there for us to buy, even the stuff that was only offered in Japan. To be honest, there were 3 reasons I ended up with it. First was it was not loud, second it was very limited and rare, third is the deal I was offered for it. If I had not gotten the deal, I am almost positive I would still be rocking the stock exhaust. I still paid more than I ever wanted to for an exhaust, but its one of my favorite things I have bought for it.

I bet your excited . . .

Dont hurt your back trying to lift it. I nearly lost grip of mine . . . I knew it was light but until you pick it up it wont register in your mind. The perception of the possible weight based on its size will throw you the first time you pick it up. Just dont toss it across the shop like I almost did when I "snatched" at it. LOL

I'll be careful. I'm just gonna lift the car on jacks and slide under with my creeper board. The stock exhaust is old(2003), but should not have much corrosion, making the bolts hard to remove. It rarely sees the rain.

I think you'll be surprised. Heat is the major cause of the corrosion on the bolts, which activates oxidation reactions. Water drying on the bolts will leave mineral deposits, and minerals are well known for catalyzing (speeding up) corrosion reactions

interesting....I guess the heat gun and Dremmel I purchased recently might come in handy. That, and a can of WD-40.

As I promised, here are the pics from the install I did in my little shop. I was surprised to see UPS delivered a day ahead of schedule. I started the install about 9:30pm and finished about 1am. It took a long time because I like to take my time and am very maticulous. I cleaned all the rubber bushings real good, oiled them up also, and inspected the undercarriage while I had the car up in the air. I took the Z for a tst drive last night also. The exhaust note is sexy!! It is exactly how everyone described it. Extremely quited during idle, but sounds tough when you hit about 4.5k rpm WOT.. It is definitely an exhaust for the reserved person.... It's exactly what I expected, doesn't cause attention unless your zooming by another car @ WOT. The tips are significantly larger than the stock and look way better. While I was installing it, I couldn't believe how light it was! Unbelievable! When I removed the stock muffler, which BTW was a b!tch to get off the rubber hangers, I was laying under it on my creeper board and just let it fall on me. It was quite heavy in comparison to the titanium muffler. Everything fit perfect... Another thing I noticed while test driving was the throttle response. As everyone stated, it significantly changes the throttle response. It's much more responsive now.... Enjoy the pics guys..
