My buddy. (Classic6) has Nismo intake, Header, AAM Test Pipes, and Nismo exhaust... the sound is unbelievable.. However a lil raspy at times.. Little too much drone at around 3k to 4k rpm.. But once the TP were installed it really allowed the vehicle to pull.. Highly recomend the combination.. Takes the true sound of the Z to its fullest potential.. i'll try and get a vid of his car posted up here soon

^ id like to hear sound clip of that setup. I currently have the Nismo exhaust and Crawford HF cats and K&N intake setup. Looking at maybe getting Headers and/or Test Pipes.

DRFTR, if you could get another sound clip up that'd be great. I'm sure a lot of us would appreciate it!

NP. That combo sounds really really nice. Still debating to do that same exact setup or with the UTR tp.

I know this is an old thread, but I would rather bring an old thread back than start a new one. I know how you search ****'s get.

does anyone have a vid of a z with nismo exhaust with unresonated test pipes?

I'm thinkin of puttin going for the nismo myself and I wonder how it's gonna sound with my TP's

Here is my clip.

Just an FYI tho, megan are bad pipes for the Nismo. The nismo is known for putting alot of pressure on the test pipes and the megans poor welds have trouble holding up.

If you want to get the megans I would recomend getting the welds reinforced and having a bracket welded to it to mount to the stock location.

It's f'n LOUD and RASPY. I have this on my car now and I'm going to HFC's for that reason and others. I would recommend at least switching to resonated TP's.

Rasp is overrated hehe.

I like the way it sounds outside, especially hearing the clip of it on the track.

sounds nice. I have rasp from 3-4k with just these helix alone. Do you still get it with the nismo? Is there anyway you can make a clip of you revving in different rpm ranges and then a redline rev? this would help me out a lot. Thank you.

After reading this thread three times since it hit page two, I've definitely decided against test pipes. Ever.

On the other hand, you really have me sold on these HFC's so far. I'm definitely going to check them out. I wonder how they would sound with NISMO headers + NISMO catback? Hmm....
