Default 2 pack of modification for 06 Z which one to choose !!! and Why !!!

Hi

i am planning to add some modification to my 06 Z .
Depend on what i found during Search in the forum
i decided to go one of these two ways

First
Intake HKS + Resonated Test Pipe + Crowford Headers

Second
Intake HKS + Resonated Test Pipe + HKS True Dual exhaust TI

as you see the difference is Headers OR HKS exhaust
which pack would you suggest in term of power
i know if 5 say 1 and 5 say 2 we will start zero again
but i want the pros and cons of each pack and why
in term of
power
cost
>>
>

and how much HP / torqe could i expect from each case ??
which pack is giving loudest sound (( i prefer HP/tq gain not load ))

Note that i'll never go FI by this car and my car now is pure stock

Waiting your suggestions

skip the intake, itll do nothing. do exhaust + straight pipe +strup header. Same performance, much less money.

The HKS intake will cost way too much. Get the Jim Wolf pop-charger. It's the cheapest and most agree that it's the best.

I vote Pack 2, with JWT popcharger instead of HKS intake.

Get K&N panel filter and leave your intake box alone; there really isn't much to be gained on the intake side. Crawford headers and HFC (or test pipes) will give you the best gang for your buck. And if you have any $$ left over, the MREV2 lower plenum will net you some real world ponies. If you are stuck on your 2 options, I'd go with the first, but not my preference.

Isnt it true tho that the exhaust on the 06's is pretty much free flowing already and you wont gain much if any power with a catback, or am I wrong? Id say do the Mrev with a 5/16" spacer, headers and test pipes/high flows to gain the most power. Im doing that next. But some1 get back to me about the exhaust question becuase I never noticed a difference in power with the cat back, but the test pipes....woah haha.

I agree with leaving the intake box alone, changing the panel filter is just as good. A handfullof companys out their have panel filter upgrades such as HKS. Leave the box, change the filter, replace headers test pipes and y pipe. If you decide to go with the HKS true duel please do other mods down the road.

if i were to start my modding all over again i would've done it like this:

KN drop in filter
CUSTOM 2.5'' exhaust w/ an X pipe
STRUP or APS test pipes

This would cost me at most 1300 bucks. I was quoted for a custom exhaust at 900 bucks done, 250 for the test pipesand 50 bucks at most for the drop in.

this is what I would do:

- K&N Drop In (Stock airbox is just as good)
- Varis Air Duct
- HFC
- Plenum / Plenum spacer
- Exhaust (Nismo for sound)

cost should be around $1500-$1600. Installs should be simple enough for DIY.

headers would be about $800? (no clue)

Thanks for all suggestions ,,

let's say i decided the first
Intake HKS + Resonated Test Pipe + Crowford Headers

do i have any problem or restriction (( with the 06 stock Exhause ))

i mean does the headers and test pipe work with thier best (high) performance
if i keep the stock exchuse after them ,,!!

how the sound will be !!
lets say the stock now rated 40 out of 100

after Headers + INtake Filter + resonated Test pipe
by how much the load will be above 40 (out of 100) ??

Thanks in advance

Begin with the most difficult mod. Headers. Everything else will be easy.

If you don't have a big budget I suggest; Drop in filter, test pipes, crawford headers + tune.

If you have a budget I suggest; Drop in filter, test pipes, strup or dc headers.
