I know the metal gaskets are best to be replaced.. but what about the Metal Ring gasket.. i bought a new one.. not sure if i should just tell the shop to put it on or if i should tell them to try to fix the one that is currently on there using sealent.

its basically the gasket between the Y pipe and Mid pipe.
