I have the HKS Hi Power Ti and am looking into getting some test pipes. Does anyone have this exhaust with resonated test pipes and if so how do you like it, what kind, how loud and does it rasp at all? I just installed the exhaust yesterday and I think its a bit to quiet for my liking. I'd like it to be a bit louder. So my question is, what would you guys recommend?

I was thinkin about the APS non resonated but I here its pretty loud...

 

i wanted to get this combo but everyone told me it'd rasp like crazy. All TP are the same loudness, and resonating it doesn't do much better. I have non resonated 2.5'' TP and im gonna add some cats in there to quiet it down a lot.
Test pipes aren't loud at idle. but they're lodu at around 3500 rpm and up.

 

I have to tell you I think I'm the only person that I know of that likes the rasp. I like a loud exhaust and some rasp to go with it. Anything that gets it to sound more like a race car, I'm all for it. Like the saying goes, not for all people.

 

Yes you will get rasp after 4k rpms..i had the megan's resontated test pipes...went back to stock cats

 

i have Hks with Crawford HFC, damn my z is so loud!
i'll go back to stock cats, and if i still find it loud, i'll go stillen!

 

I have HKS + Labree resonated test pipes.... sounds great, NO RASP =)

 

HKS Hi power Ti + DC headers + resonated test pipes = raspy.. but sick!!! I love it! it's all a matter of preference really

I had the HKS with Crawford cats and then I switched the cats for the Fast Intentions resonated test pipes. I'm now in the process of switching back to the cats.

I have the HKS with Non-Resonated Test Pipes, It's loud but I think it sound great. I was scared that my car would sound like crap (Rice), but it does not, I even had some friends listen to it and they like the sound also.

 

Honestly, i dont hear rasp. It sounds good. I didnt get it because people 'said' but It sounds good if you ask me. I dont like HKS w/ stock cats. It sounds too tiny.

Intensepower resonated test pipes are megan's test pipes. I think my HKS Ti exhaust has finally broken in after 2 years. It sounds alot deeper now. It now sounds like it use to have the resonated test pipes on but without the rasp after 4k. sorry guys no sound clip...

Have the HKS and Fast Intention HFC. Quite at Idle, but loud enough at WOT to scare old people like myself.

 

I recently installed DC headers along with my HKS Ti and megan's test pipes, and my question is did it have a rattling sound at first? What sound should I expect? Could please let me know?

 

i had the topspeed exhaust with the testpipes it was way too loud went back to hks and wow what a difference people with hks and want to go louder would regret it....not worth being pulled over and getting tickets
