Default Higher flow exhaust that isn't LOUD?

I am not into loud exhaust, but I know I need to upgrade to get the best for the track. I like the stock sound, but am willing to compromise. I have a S/C installed and I'm ready for a valve body and exhaust... suggestions?

mine :-D
Mine was too loud but i recently got the muffler changed and its slightly louder than stock. Im running dual 2.5'' w/ straight pipes on N/A and its probably as loud as a nismo exhaust on stock cats..

Its a custom:
2.5'' piping, X pipe at stock Y pipe location, Vibrant 2.5'' straight through resonator, flowmaster 2.5'' dual in/out muffler, 2.5'' straight pipes.

Go with APS 2.5" with cat deletes. There are sound clips all over this forum and on their site (APS). I have them and they sound close to stock only a little louder.

I gotta remain legal. Cat deletes doesn't sound quite legal.
How do you guys feel about the Greddy Evo II?

I've got the GReddy Evo2, but i'm pretty much stock other than that. It's just barely louder than stock. But i think you might be better off skipping the Evo2 and getting the Greddy EvoTT, its meant for forced induction cars. I think that might be a better choice for your supercharger.

Thanks for the info

I just know that I don't wanna get "ricey" and I don't like the loud rumble hubby has on his truck. No one I know locally has anything done -- so it's really hard to tell what to get. Think the TT will meet my desires?

The TT will be louder than the Evo but will meet the S/C needs better.

If you have stillen i wouldnt get cat deletes. Roots style blowers like some back pressure. Get Stilen since it gives the most HP and is pretty quiet and sounds like stock.

Cut outs

Maintain stock sound on the street and max power on the track

Minimal $$$ too

Just my opinion if you dont want loud

I think too many people confuse exhaust scavenging and back pressure

A properly tuned set of equal length headers will provide the right scavenging and maintain good exhaust velocity but "back pressure" just for the sake of adding restriction will only hurt power

I think the header choice will greatly impact power production --- the pipes after the collector wont be nearly as important --- they should be as large as the collector which in a S/C 3.5L motor 3" at least

But the OP wanted minimal noise ---- A good set of equal length headers and some 3" cut outs --- wide open when power is needed and closed for keeping the car close to stock (obviously the S/C and the headers will be louder)

After nearly a year, I still love my PIT exhaust. Quiet, good looking, fine quality, great tone. Oh, also about $250.
