Hey what does everybody think of OBX? My friend thinks it's excellent product he has their stuff on all their cars.

yeah.. obx is teh suck! Check out the Borla TD. Thats nice..

 

Or the sexy HKS hi-power exhaust!

If your really not to sure though.. you can always go with the nismo TD exhaust untill you go FI

Nismo doesnt have a a true dual system.

I highly doubt the owner of this Z will ever go FI if his #1 choice of exhaust is OBX. Doesnt seem like the type to drop 6K and then some on a car.


Just buy what you want and be happy dude. I am not going to give any advice other than get what you want. dont ask for help... when you can research this.

Haha i bought a nismo knock off from ebay, says its made by tsudo but i am thinking its obx. Its sounds like stock but louder went on ok, needs some tweaking to line up the tips but it came with the pipe from the y pipe back to the muffler and its 3" mandrel into the muffler. Its not even loud and doesnt drone. cheap and sounds pretty good for 200$..

 

+1, There's probably a good reason why I've never taken the time to find out what an OBX is...

 

OBX is sooo Honda mid 90s...it's crap you see in super street that fills two pages worth of advertising... Best exhaust IMO for N/A is the HKS Dual Tit...but then I have one so I am also very biased.

Ummmm well when I was a newbie to tunning and didnt care much bout name brands I put an OBX on my 99 Maxima SE 5 speed, along with Stillen Flywheel, ACT Clutch, Stillen Y pipe, Injen Cold air intake and of course OBX exhaust DTM style I believe. I never had any gripes about it it ran damn good It was good nuff to eat up stangs and other Honda Spivics

 

That probably due to the fact you would have beaten those cars regardless if you had OBX or your stock exhaust. For N/A the exhaust really won't yield anything worth while...even my fancy HKS Dual Tit...I have no disillusions about it..I'm not about to pick a fight with Z06s just because my tail pipes are larger and louder.
