Default TurboXs testpipes

Anybody has them in their Z's, how's the quality, fitment on the support bracket? The reason I asked is because I just bought them on Ebay the guy said it's genuine TurboXs but I don't see any branding on the pipes the welds on the flanges was inside n out and it doesn't come with any disclaimer or paperworks is this normal??

I just bought some as well. Did you get them from highperformace outlet? Mine look pretty good. The quality is nice and I dont think I have ever seen a name on any test pipe before. I dont have them on yet, I'm still waiting for a nice weekend to have them installed. Let me know how it goes for you.

i just installed these pipes and the shop charged me $150 which is fair IMO,but when i started the car and give it a full rev it made this high pitch whistling, short squeal kinda noise anybody experience this with any testpipes?? We check for exhaust leak but the tech said there's none then he said he will try to change the stock gaskets with HKS ones see if that'll help btw the car sounded loud and mean as hell with my Injen SES and the nonfouler i got from Zexy works no CEL at all or am i lucky

I don't know about that brand but Helix Test pipes do have a badge on them with the name.

Just installed mine and they are super loud combined w/ my exhaust but it does sound mean as hell. the only problem is i seem to be getting a metallic rattle sound from inside the cabin when revving it in neutal, but it doesn't make any noise outside. Anyone else noticed this.

PS everything has been tightened down w/ a air gun twice so it is all tight.

That whistle is very normal. It has happened on three exhaust setups of mine, all with different test pipes :-D.

is it kinda like a high pitched short whistle??? that's not exhaust leak rite??? because of that noise i had to use an HKS gasket sandwich together with a stock ones plus some silicone sealer between the TP and my Injen

sounds the same as any other non resonated test pipe

the difference is the fit, the brackets (if any) and quality of the welds

TurboXS makes quality products. I have a TXS full turbo-back on my Evo and it's frickin' awesome.
