Hey everbody,
I don't have the cash right now to get a full catback system and I was just wondering what your thoughts were on magnaflow mufflers, I'm looking for something louder than stock, but not too loud. I heard some sound clips on their site, and it sounded nice. Any ideas? Comments?

Also, would it replace my stock tips? and if so would i have to get 2?..

 

I don't have any experience with the magnaflows on the Z, but the TurboXS turbo back system on my WRX uses magnaflow mufflers and it's a very low,mellow, repectable sound - not tinny or ricey. I'm a big fan because they use a staright thru design and they're warrentied for life

I know that about 95% of all St***en exhaust systems use Magnaflow mufflers. (they won't tell you though) If you buy the mufflers alone, they don't come w/tips, and yes you would have to buy 2 if you still wanted. Try finding out the dimensions of the mufflers on the St***en kit and have a muffler shop install them for you. Don't expect the same HP because you won't have the same tubing configuration nor the mandrel bent tubing. But, it should sound very similar. Oh yeah, 100% stainless mufflers from Magna Flow are also avail.
