Only time and more dynos will tell I guess
Agreed when it's opened up.

It's the daily driving I'm specifically talking about. Unless I'm playing around I doubt I ever get much over 2200 rpm, there's no need to with the "down low" torque the car has.

If the chart is accurate in that rpm range, it may not be quite so easy to do that since it appears to be significantly lower in that area. For my uses, that in itself may be worth the extra $ for the HKS.

Not bashing the knock-off at all. Sounds like a great deal, and from what I can tell from the clips....it may even sound better (although that's subjective). Just making an observation on the only dyno ran with the X02(that I know of).

I have the stillen currently and its really restricting my air flow for being twin turbo'ed Power enterprise.. but they sound good..

How much gain can you see in changing a exhaust w/ an x pipe, to a true dual like the X02?

Also, wouldn't cabin noise be greatly reduced since its free flowing duals?

Noise is about supression....if you have larger pipes which arent insulated somehow they will be louder in the cabin no matter what

Some guys add a little more insulation underneath and well as around the piping itself

I would imagine the cats and smaller piping are the most restrictive part of an exhaust....dont know the piping diameter of the stillen but I am willing to bet teh X02 is the same or larger than the stillen for sure...both make great power NA....for boost though the cats are probabyl the most restrictive part IMO....dual 3" or better for boost IMO ....AAM makes a nice 3" dual

The flagship of the AAM 3” exhaust line, the AAM Spec 3” MaxFlow True Dual Exhaust System is the highest flowing exhaust available for the 350Z & G35. Designed to support the most demanding volume and velocity flow requirements, the AAM Spec 3” MaxFlow True Dual exhaust system is a perfect match for any Turbocharged 350Z, including 800rwhp+ competition setups.

The AAM Spec 3” MaxFlow True Dual exhaust system comes with a specially designed 3” inner diameter flange on each side that bolts-up to either the factory cat pipes or most aftermarket 2.5” test pipes. Twin mandrel bent 3” polished stainless steel T-304 16 Gauge exhaust tubes run along each side of the 350Z’s undercarriage. Two high-flow stainless steel resonators ensure straight through flow and a deep exhaust note. By significantly decreasing thermal load, the AAM Spec 3” Max Flow True Dual exhaust system provides the maximum reliability for your VQ35 engine and its internal components. Preliminary testing has shown gains over 40rwhp on high horsepower turbocharged Z’s vs. the factory exhaust. The AAM 3” Max Flow True Dual is the ultimate 350Z exhaust and an engineering work of art. Available with optional titanium tips.

Sorry if this came off as a sales pitch or something but its a nice piece for a decent price

The biggest plus is the price! A shop is carrying them for $500!

I love the HKS as others do and for show cars and like its a no brainer

But for someone who is thinking about bang for the buck and good quality this exhaust fits the bill for sure

I think MREV2 (9whp) + 5/16 Spacer (8whp) + X02 (say 12whp) + Pop Charger (5whp)for 450, 250,500, 110....$1310 for 30-34whp

or

HKS exhaust for 12-16whp for 1250-1350

I know guys are dedicated but you have to look at the reality of it all too
wrong. HKS gives 19rwhp. someone posted a dyno chart.
and dont be a cheap ***

I am sorry but I don't buy the 19 wheel hp - I wouldn't even buy 19 at the crank. Remember the exhaust shoot out in Z-Magazine? I think the best exhaust gained 9 hp.

If I remember correctly (have to try to find my dyno sheet) the HKS exhaust gave me about 12-13 rwhp from the exhaust over stock....

Unless it was done back to back on the same day on the same dyno, its really not valid. Too many changes in parameters and whatnot between dyno's.

All I have now is HKS Ti and JWT Popcharger. I plan to hit the track here shortly as well.

yes but i am sure that there tune was off resulting in them actually loosing power from added mods.

Knock off is better if its lower and deeper higher pitched sounds liek hondas seriously. Dont hate cause peopel now have the same exhaust for less then half the price and u paid 1500 hahaha. you could have bought the x02 exhaust, MD spacer, Test pipes and a intake all for the same as for the price as that one exhaust to me u would be stupid to pay 1500 but tahts my opinion

and the best part is, it keeps getting better and better as u break-in the exhaust. that video is about 3 months after the install. I got it when it first poped up on here for like 550 i think. That was with shipping and everything else.

Default beware...

I own the Xo2 knockoff, and I installed it with a set of their resonated test pipes. If you don't want any "rasp" then I suggest going with another setup. I hated how raspy it sounded between 4k-5k rpm, so I cut the center section and added 32" long, free flowing glass packs. (sorry no pictures or clips yet) Now, I love the way my setup sounds, and I prefer it to everything else I have heard, except Ryan Danis's aps extreme twin turbo Z, with the aps 3" exhaust. That is one of the meanest sounding street cars I have ever heard. Are there any true dual setups that dont get raspy when combined with test pipes?
