Im taking a pole on how many people with TPs have that wierd noise from the TPs when your rev comes back down. Its supposedly normal but I cant help but think its a problem with installation. Its the wheeze/whistle/rattle sound when the revs come back down from the TPs, not the exhaust. O yea...Please mention if yours is resonated or non resonated.

very normal - you'll get used to it. (If there's ppl around and I'm coming to a stop, I sometimes take it out of gear to let the rpms fall quikcly to minimize the rasp)

The whislte comes from the flex pipe not having a liner inside of it. If you get some flex pipes with liners in them and put them in place of the old ones that sound will go away.
This one will whistle.

This one will not whistle.

I think all the 350z Y pipes use the ones without liners because they are alot cheaper than the ones with liners, so it lowers the manufactures overhead, that way they save money and still gouge you on the price.

Wow, i had no idea that was normal. I thought i had an exhaust leak somewhere. Its sounds like a loud whistle when the revs are winding down.
Well, im glad im not the only one.

I just installed a GReddy EVOII on my G35 Coupe, and now I have this same exact noise. I have UTR resonated test pipes as well, which were on the car with the stock exhuast. Before I installed the GReddy I didnt have this noise, and I am 100% positive that there is no leaks. So I wonder if its more because of the GReddy or the resonated test pipes? I had a friend rev the car while I was underneath and it sounded like it was coming from somewhere in the area of the Y pipe.
