Default single vs dual on TN kit

I am probably going to get flamed, but i have been searching for several days and have not come up with an answer that i like. i am installing a TN ST kit in the next couple of weeks and I am undecided on an exhaust. I want to keep the dual look because personally i like the look alot better than a single pipe coming out and also because in HI there are all kinds of laws for altering your vehicle, and the more stock it looks the better off i think i am. Here are my two questions:
1. Am I losing alot of HP by using a dual with a reverse ypipe over a single pipe coming back.
2. Is using a dual with reverse y pipe going to buy me more hp than using my stock exhaust.
Thanks for the help
andy

Dual is rice!
Single FTW

Having a dual exhaust for a single turbo is like having a big wing on a front wheel drive car. DEAD WEIGHT

Nearly anything will be better than your stock exhaust, I think performance wise (weight and flow considered) a single 3" will be the best idea. But single vs. a dual with rev-y will be fine. 3" inlet to two 2.5" is more quiet too if you're worried about drawing attention!
