Default just bought 03-06 hks exhaust for my 07

so i kept hearing yesterday and the day before about the exhaust for the earlier modles should fit the 2007. well i just ordered my hks exhaust yesterday and it should be in this friday. my car club and myself are going to install it on saturday or friday if i can get off work. if you would like i will have picture of it up and sound clips and most imporntant of all i will try to get some dyno results done shortly after.

If anybody has any questions or comments please feel free to let me know or ask. thanks.

Cant wait to see the before and after dynos. You need to get those, as you will be setting a precident for other '07 owners who will want to buy exhausts... Hopefully there are gains all throughout the power curve. I was thinking of just putting on the Nismo myself. I loved the sound on my 04 and Im sure the sound of a Nismo on an 07 will be beautiful...

Oh yes. I can only imagine what the Nismo would sound like hitting that 7600rpm limiter.

To the OP, you got any before and after dynos? I just helped my friend, japbeercow on this forum, install this exhaust yesterday on his 07. He barely has 1200 miles on the car, so its newly broken in. We don't have a baseline dyno so there are no plans for an after dyno either, sorry =p

Regarding fitment, it was pretty good except that the top of the piping going over the rear sway bar contacted the head of the bolt for the rear differential mount at first. We loosened things up again, and shifted them around slightly, and now it has some clearance, but BARELY. Is this normal for this system on a Z?

We drove it around a bit to test it, no rattling detected, so that little bit of clearance was just enough. As for the sound? Awesome, I love it, he loves it =D
