I'm installing used Borla headers that I'm getting from Japtrix for about $200 plus $300 for install, is this a good deal?
Can I expect to see some gains with the mods I alrady have?
I've read in these forums that headers could be a waste of money and sometimes you can even lose power instead of gaining hp. I also heard somebody say that Borla headers are the worst of the headers, is this true?
Should I just spend more and go for DC headers or Strup?

I heard the only headers that give negative gains are the Borla headers. I presume they are the worst. I don't know their fitment.

Strup's fitment is great. Crawfords the worst, but best performance supposedly.

If you can trip to Japtrix, you should come down to the 441 and southern car meet. I am the only Z there most of the time.

 

Drop a couple of hundred more and go with the strup headers. They're top notch in price/performance/fit and finish.

Borla headers do not have a strong following here. Of course a Borla member might chine in with I have Borla headers and they make my 350Z go like lightening.

Headers with alter the horsepower and torque curves, generally adding peak horsepower and torque. What happens to the rest of the curve is a guess at best.

 

No, you will see zero gains, maybe even lose power with borla headers, and yes they are the worst headers on the market. The stock manifolds are better than borla's. You should consider buying the DC's or strup, and if money isn't an option go crawford.
