Call us or Team Nissan Nissan @ 603-644-8326 for details.

this might be a weird question, but why are you making it sound like a limited production version, when ALL the parts can be obtained on the open market???

Let me explain, my family is in the dealership business, and have pretty big pull in socal when it comes to Hondas. They got together when some other socal car dealers and were very upset that Honda stopped the Si, so they decided to make something of thier own.

they met with body kit fabricators, exhaust builders, etc, etc.... really had the body kit designers design a few a kit that was NOT on the market, and the dealers would pick which one they liked and have them custom built (not a cheap process from A to Z), they ended up doing the body kit, interior, visual engine mods, exhaust, wheels and lowered. It was called the Civic XS. They called it a limited dealer car. It was somewhat special b/c they designed the kit, and had it built, and you can't get the kit unless you have the car/model.

Are you sure that the Z (even as beautiful as it is) classifies as the same sort of thing??

Default Limited Editions

This is a real simple answer. The dealer allocates cars to us. Brand new and less than 10 miles on the car.

They decide which upgrade package will be added from their menu of options. These cars are built and sold as new through the dealership. These cars come with full warranty.

Only twenty of these cars will be sold. Each car is numbered and the owners are tracked.

All pre-owned cars or recently purchased cars can not be badged as a Limited Edition. The exception was one car in the intial build that had less than a few hundred miles on it.

We did this in 2001 on Maxima's and sold quite a few cars.

A major magazine is working on a full feature on the cars now and will be out in the summer. This will gain worldwide attention to this series of cars.

I have to wait until the magazine article is out - otherwise they will pull my car. I've got over 50 and as soon as it's possible I'll put the best of them up a gallery.

The car looks great and all, and I understand what you are saying, but, ALL of these parts can be gotten in the open market, but the car looks great and thats all that matters.

Default parts

Yes the majority of the parts are available onm the open market. The biggest difference is the fact that the car can be purchased through the dealership fully built and covered under warranty.

Also buyers can get the car built and financed along with the car.

I'm just north of Boston. I haven't waxed it yet, I'm waiting until the paint cures on the body kit. I'll be putting Zaino on it when the time comes - I use it on my black PT Cruiser and I'm sold on it...

good points, I didn't realize that most dealers didn't do that. We do that all the time, get your body kit, stereo, wheels, tires, tint, aftermarket leather, etc...either by the dealer or by someone our dealer works closely with and it gets warrentied and financed through the dealer. It is a great set up.

again - all those parts can be purchased by anyone with a phone and a credit card

love how YOURS is a "limited edition" because it is under warranty...can't wait to brag to my friends "My Z is a limited edition and cooler than yours because my aftermarket rims are protected under warranty of the dealership and yours aren't, even though they are the same exact rims haha."

You can see how this would make your dealership look shady right? Some guy walks into your dealership, and pays too much thinking he's getting something that is rare when, in reality, it can be reproduced easily by anyone with a Z and the desire/cash.

Uh, yeah.

I was there for the build of the three cars. The techs who did it are Pauls. When they dont do this they build and campaign his GT2 car (as well as their own race cars). The mods included intake, exhaust, and suspension and brake bits that most dealers would blanch at if you came in with it installed elsewhere trying to get warranty service on the engine or driveline. Paul has developed a relationship with this dealer where they trust him (and he they) and they honor the cars warranty if something goes wrong - a little more than having a warranty honored on the rims. They even have him build out cars and put them on the showroom floor. Along with the parts and installation came set up of the suspension, lowering, alignment and any tweaking or adjustments needed in a turnkey package.

Thats not quite the same as a credit card and a modem. How on earth this could make any dealer look "shady" is beyond me. The 3 (or was it 4? I lost count) customers who came by during the build intrigued by the prospect of getting this kind of package done on a new from the dealer Z under warranty didnt seem to think it was very "shady" either.

I think your car looks great. Don't worry about people who post on the site looking for a fight. Everyone wants something to complain about. Car looks good and I hope to join you soon on having some of the same mods.

Hey Sanderman, what do you think of the rear little pieces on the valence? I decided to put on the sideskirts, front, and spoiler, but REALLY am thinking twice about those little pieces on the rear. I was thinking of just leaving my rear mudguards in place so it looks like redgrant's kit install..

I've seen one other car posted that doesn't have them and I have to admit that I think they add something to the car. It seems to me the line formed by the front lip and rocker panel flares needs to continue onto the rear valance or the thing looks a bit unfinished or disjointed. It may look different on other colors and you have to do what appeals to you, but I can't imagine the blue with the Nismo kit without them...

I hear you and thanks. I just hate to see Paul get heat for doing professional work that you can't just get done anywhere.

Good luck with your mods!

Sorry to ask again, but will you be able to make it to the NH meet on Sunday? I would love to see your car in person.
