Default Anyone use header wrap for an exhaust leak?

The passenger side flex pipe on my Nismo Y-Pipe has cracked underneath of the coating so now I've got a nice exhaust leak. Welding a flex pipe doesn't make sense since it will just crack when it flexes so instead of purchasing another pricey Y-Pipe I'm hoping I can get away with some header wrap to seal it. A Band-Aid if you will.

Think header wrap will work? Anyone have any other suggestions?

Header wrap will work but it will deteriorate over time because of the hot exhaust gas.

Mine cracked also... both of them! I've used heat wrap that you can get at the auto store, but its temporary. I like the fit and overall quality of the Y-pipe, so my next step during my pumpkin swap will be to patch the flex section again. I'm going to double up on the wrap and conceal the flex section in a thin guage SS holding it in place with a ton of pop-rivets. It may work and it may not, guess I'll see...

Intensepower has one for $135 shipped that I was looking at. It seems that the pipe could have been designed to hug the chassis a bit tighter, specifically in the location of the flex pipes. I only need 1/2" or less of more clearance there!
