k and n air filter?

k and n air filter?

ok, i have heard that the kn air filter actually decreases hp in the z, i was going to buy one tomorrow so i want to know if this is true and what the effect if any it has on the sound of the car.

I want to know also, I have a K&N drop in and didnt notice any difference in performance. The only difference in sounds is that it whistles a little louder around 3 grand

its a replacement filter, not a performance bolt on.

if you need a new filter go for it, if your looking for performance, dont waste your money.

import tuner has an article on RSX's aftermarket intakes. One of it is the KN filter, it didn't change the performance but it was noted the filter can be reused, which would save money over time.

all intakes I know of also utilize reusable filters. but never understood replacing a filter that is reusable when the old one doesnt need to be replaced yet.

The article was pointing out that stock filter needs to be replaced every so often. KN filter can be reused.
