From the looks of it, swapping the pipes shouldn't take more than 20 minutes. When you go for an inspection, just swap them.

In New York State, a car is emissions testing except for the first three years. They don't even check the exhaust.

If they dyno 10 hp they definetly worth the hassle of being changing pipes.

Keep posting the results and estimated pricing.

Uh yeah, without Cats, your emissions would be stupid high.

Uhh, yeah, I dont think anyones ever passed emissions inspections in any state that has them, with their cats removed. Short of clipping money to the back of your paperwork before you hand it to them...

Is there a weight savings to be had here as well? Even if no HP gains are present the lost weight may be worth it.

I heard the cats were abou 20lbs each??

Please correct me if i am wrong.

I haven't done the inspection on the Z, but on my ex-Integra, I had turbo on it without cat.. It passed inspection barely. I think the limit was 200 and I got 190.. talk about too close for comfort.

I passed though..
