Default no exhaust

Has anyone taken off their stock axel back exhaust and just ran their car with out an axel back? Is it safe to do this? Will there be enough back pressure so you wont burn any valves? I'm a bit of noob with this stuff... so dont be too harsh.

Sorry, it doesn't sound great, not to me anyway. If you search here you will find folks that have already done this and posted pics and videos, and even taken it further and put a straight pipe to finish it to the rear bumper.

Backpressure is Bad. Always. Go with a Really big pipe, dual 2.5 maybe up to 3.0inches.

I've driven mine with just open headers back from a shop. It's impossibly loud, and vibrates the car so bad you think your mirror is going to fall off.

Horrible.

It's not a Mustang with a built engine - turn-downs suck on these cars and ROB you of low end power.

I did , just for a trip to the parts store. Low end was actually not bad at all , but my car didnt like to rev much over 5K. Oh of course it sounded like a open header riced out civic.

I think he will be permanently scarred from this for the rest of his life. I guess the right answer would have been "No, nobody's ever done that before. Great idea! What does it slound like? Is it really fast?"

Actually I heard a a Greddy TT'd G35 with open downpipes and it sounded pretty bad ***. I wouldn't want to drive it around like that, but it would be fun at the drag strip.
