Sorry to see that though..
I don't think the OPs is that old, when I had mine (straight tip some time in 05), it did not have the gussets welded onto the cans. Since they have added those extra braces on newer systems, this is probably a high stress point that has gotten back to them as warranty issues and breaks here may be fairly common.

With the perforated pipe broken the way it is, for a proper repair the resonator should be fully replaced, and if you are not replacing with Injen parts, both sides should be replaced.

Good luck with that.

Chris

Actually, his version and the one i have are quite different.

Compare those pictures to the OP's pictures. You'll see the various differences. The newer one looks alot sturdier than the old one.

That's what you get with a Injen product. Stick with ARC, JIC, Nismo, Amuse, etc.

Nismo exhausts have cracked too. As i said before, injen has redesigned their exhaust. THe op has one of hte earlier versions.

But his with the gussets is the newest of the non-Ti tip Super SES, probably made in late 05 or 06. If you look at davidv pic, that is what the resonators looked like without the gussets.

You have the Ti tip type, with larger 60mm pipe, slip fit rear cans, it is an entirely different system.

I have the Injen straight tip exhaust. I wonder what the lastest Injen exhaust sounds like?

My TE with test pipes is pretty damn loud. I'm trying to find time to get some sound clips up soon.
