Berk HFC Installed w/ vids!! Thumbs up
Today i installed BErk HFC on my Nismo exhaust. I made a before and after clip for those who are interested in how the BErk HFC changes the sound, however these videos may not be incredibly accurate because i did not rev as high in my BEFORE video.
BEFORE VIDEO: I did not rev it past 4k RPM, and i didnt rev it too much so i admit, this was a bad clip

AFTER VIDEO: I may have revved it a little past 4k RPM thus the reason it sounds louder

it wouldnt show up as an embed so i just put in the links
My thoughts on BErk HFC: Everything looked nice. Welds were nice, fitment was great, packaging was stupendous. Box included all parts and bolts, AND calendar w/ 2 Berk stickers.
Sound - The change wasnt as noticeable as i thought it woulda been. i was told from some people that it whttps://my350z.com/forum/newreply.php#
Moreould be noticeably louder, deeper in low RPMs which it was, but not THAT noticeable. But at higher RPMs, WOT its much llouder. Butt dyno feels like it pulls harder. Havent really gotten the car to high seeds yet though only stayed in the 20-30 mph range.
Final Verdict: Great product. If youre thinking about getting these, DO IT. The relatively low price of these HFC make it a great value. The ONLY problem i had during this transaction was the slightly long amount of time it took to get the HFC out to me. BUT, for this small problem, it was made up for by Brian by a nice little deal. So Thumbs up for BErk Tech, special thanks to Brian himself, and to all those who have helped me with this decision.
EDIT: MORE VIDS, again you cant really hear the exhaust. Im no good with making clips
Old guy honks at me for no reason. I was nowhere near him

I don't mind the low-rev video. After all, the car will sound loud as hell when you're stomping it stock or not. A lot of us are just concerned about how loud the exhaust becomes during cruising/accelerating.

I have an 04'. Yeah these Berk HFC arent the same as the 07' ones
And yeah ill give it a couple days maybe it will get louder. But actually im just hoping that it would get a little louder in the lower RPMs, in the higher RPMs its actually a tad bit too loud for me. But its cool

Thaks much for the vids; this is exactly what I was looking for since I have Nismo CB as well (albeit with a Nismo CAI as well). I don't think you did a bad job with the "before" vid at all. It is easy to see that Berk HFCs made the sound deeper though not much louder. That makes them a winner in my book.
Update us on highway cruising when you've done it. Is there any drone around 85 or so in 6th gear?

personally, it is loud as cruising speeds on the freeway but it's not a deep drone so it didn't bother me at all. It's more of a somewhat *wine* then anything else. I liked it but i guess differs from person to person.
Do you have the ceramic or the metallic cats?
I ordered a set of ceramics back on November 12th. I guess the ceramics are on backorder from Magnaflow so I won't be getting them until the middle of December. Berk offered me a good deal to "upgrade" to metallics. I am considering it but I think the metallics may be too loud for my taste.

im not too sure if the metallics are louder than the ceramics. But i have the metallics. I think im starting to get used to it because it doesnt seem as loud to me anymore. Id like it to be a bit lower-pitched as opposed to the higher-pitch it has now. Ill update with a video inside the car. not much time because of class but maybe by this weekend.

Everybody here seems to say that the Nismo drones. I dont really notice it. Maybe its just because i dont mind it. And you asked if it was higher under load or with just Nismo CB alone. I dont really understand the question because youre comparing 2 different things but i would say the pitch is slightly higher on my nismo after i put on HFC. But either way i think the Nismo is higher pitched than stock
The metallics will be louder than ceramic because of the cell count. I believe the ceramic is @400 and the metallic is less than 200. Therefore the metallics will flow more and be louder but provide slightly better power gains than ceramic. I got an email from Berks stating that the metallics will be slighlty louder than ceramic. Not as loud as test pipes but still a bit louder than ceramics.
I am still torn on what to do.

you should prolly go for ceramic then if you dont want it as loud. The HFC did make my exhaust a bit too loud for my taste but like i said, i think im starting to get used to the loudness because it doesnt seem as loud to me anymore. But if you get on it, people will know youre there.
