Default Modified my HKS exhaust

I saw a thread a while ago about someone cutting out the h-pipe part of their HKS exhaust. I didn't like the pics that I saw of the HKS portion So I thought I'd try to get an xpipe put in their. I took it to a local muffler shop and told them what I wanted. 2 hours later, I have a smoother sounding exahust, with little to none of that "popping" noise you get and It feels like it runs with less vibration now. Here are the pics. Sorry for the qulaity, it was with my cell phone.

This is what the h-pipe looks like iside. The piece that connects the two stick out into the pipes quite a bit so it's not at free flowing as you think.

picture is pretty bad, but it looks like you just got rid of that little section? How did the new welds come out?

I need soundclips to justify what you've done.

It looks like a pre-made x-pipe section by Magnaflow.

yes, it is a magnaflow xpipe.

no I've never dyno'd my car. I don't really see the point in dyno'ing a car for nickle and dime stuff. I'll wait till I do something major to it before I dynoe it. No point in spending 100 bucks rwice to dyno it before and after for small mods IMO.

the secion that was replaced is from the cats to the resonators. the welds are clean.

I'll try and get a soundclip when I have time.

I'll get a soundclip when I have the time. It's raining right now so I can't do it this moment. I would get some new pics but I've seem to have misplaced my camera. So the phone is all I have to work with

That Magnaflow looks sweet. Here's a custom fab we did on my hks. It's kind of a hybrid xpipe / hpipe. Trying to get the best of both worlds. :-)
