1. proven worthwhile gains

3. price

There are a lot of exhausts that meet 2/3 options for me but none are 3/3.
I completely agree with Wired on the above statement concerning exhaust criteria. I also stayed stock, until I splurged on an expensive Amuse exhaust. Everything seems to at most meet 2 of those 3 criteria, but I have yet to see or heard one that meets all 3 criteria. Very accurate statement Wired!

Are you telling me that 'looks' is not one of your criteria? Then why are you criticising him on the looks of his exhaust alone? Most everyone here would not know or care if his Z is a real Nismo unit or not, much less in the general populace. Although it is OT, my impression from the threads on this board is that most look for an exhaust based on 1. looks, 2. sound, 3. gains, 4. price, and not necessarily all of the above, because that animal does not exist.

I'm glad I'm getting the HKS over the NISMO.

Since when does the nismo exhaust sound stock? Ive had both stock exhaust and nismo. Since you dont have it, let me tell you.. it does NOT sound stock.

The exhaust looks good and sounds nice to me. But most important are you happy with it?

Dang, good find! There is really no real power gains to be had by the Nismo exhaust, but it sounds excellent and keeps the car as OEM as you can get.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pick it up for?

$75 bux for the ypipe back and it has 3k miles on it. It was a free for all all the az350z people were trying to get it. Its also soo much lighter then the stock one and in person looks better then in pics.

I think it looks good. I also plan on getting a NISMO catback. I like the weight savings, sound and yes, a minimal, but real HP gain.

Ignore the haters, this is only my third thread to contribute to and I'm quickly learning to ignore them.

YouTube has plenty of soundbites and footage of others using the NISMO exhaust.
