That's exactly what I want to hear. My car's already pretty beastly all throughout first and second gear with the current mods, and weight reduction. SLIP light will not hesitate to appear between 4500-redline for 1st and 2nd. =P

Man, I am sooooo excited. The exhaust will be here on Friday. Thank God my shop doesn't charge much to install them ($80) - this puppy is going on ASAP.

In the meantime, recommend me some polishers to get the exhaust looking spiffy and clean. =)

Mothers all metal polish in the little red and white tub....$3 at wal mart. And while you're there, pick up some Mother's FX Synwax for your paint, great stuff and great price.

about 1.5 years ago the best price i found was at JSC speed.. much lower than anything else i've seen here. I've still got mine on the car but want to go with something more aggressive.

Started polishing it. Polished two pipes for now - got tired. Hahaha. They went from brown/bronze to silver fairly instantly. The muffler and tips are in much better shape, and shouldn't require as much application.

Any tips on how to get rid of brown spots? Polishing excessively works, but it's extremely tiring. Can I gently use a metal-wool pad with the polisher on just the brown/burn spots?

Ahhh, made appointment to install at my shop next Thursday - $85. Gave myself some time to polish it up a bit more. I'm so excited.

Might as well get some quality test pipes and install them at the same time! Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Test pipes will come later. I've been bad. I bought:

Hotchkis
3M Clear Bra
Borla TD

All within a two week time frame, and after only owning the car for 6 months. Hahaha. But I may end up going for HFCs, since I'm worried about rasp and being too loud.

don't worry about the rasp. I had borla before and even with non resonated test pipes, they didn't rasp. really weird. The borla was way to quiet for me. Seems people use the borla as a stepping stone to another aggressive exhaust down the road.

I prefer quiet, I think the stock exhaust is just perfect. I'm looking for gains, and saw that the Borla was great in that aspect.

I have fast intentions res. tp's no rasp at all. It's just loud enough to turn a few heads when reving hard Not that I do that

Borla has a set of really well crafted resonators in the line up. This cuts down dramatically on the rasp produced by Test Pipes. All though it is still present when comparing it to a HFC cat set up. If you like the sound of your exhaust before the HFC's, you will love it afterwards.

I will likely only consider Fast Intentions Res. test pipes. Or Berk HFCs.
