mine arrives via UPS today, as far as weight goes this weighs 64 lbs compared to whatever the stock exhaust weighs

I just had this put on and all I can say is Wow, It does seem to have a lot more torque and pulls harder throughout the powerband. I also think it sounds great, there is little or no drone and sounds sort of stock until I give it gas than it sounds like a beast.

yeap, when i first took it out, i was like "she picked up A LOT of mid range power"

hey did yours make a rattling noise not like a rasp but more like a noise like something is not clamped right or something along the lines of it was hitting something.......but regardless it should be a quick painless fix and also how long did your exhaust have a bad smell after it was put on

u prob just need to adjust it, it will stink for a couple days

I've made numerous calls and been told by multiple sources, bassani included on two seperate occasions, that the Bassani system comes in two boxes with a combined shipping weight of 83 lbs. I have no idea on what the boxes or packing material weighs.

it is two boxes........one for the x pipe and the other for everything else but no it does not weigh in at 83 lbs, I weighed it haha

Just giving the info two different bassani representatives gave me on different occasions. I can even list each boxes precise geometric dimensions. Each one also said: two boxes = 83 lbs.

Now, I personally do really love the bassani design, but one of the following three instances is occuring: A) Bassani's shipping weight in their database for this exhaust is off by 19 lbs/23% B) Bassani's number is right and they package this system so well that they require at least 20 lbs of cardboard, tape, and foam to secure, or C) Its 64 lbs for two boxes and they use very light packing materials.

Either way, with all the weight numbers varying by such a large margin. Until I hear a few more independent weighings/tests I'll keep researching, searching, and comparing.

It did have a assload of packaging to be honest. I ordered mine from bassani also and I was told 67 lbs but when I weighed it on a scale it was actually 64 lbs but it does not matter one way or another

I'am having a hard time finding a vendor locally that is selling this specific exhaust. Anyone know of any reputable online vendors that carry this system ?

why not just buy direct? Check the thread, Bassani already posted a supercheap group buy price

Have you tried searching from their site?
http://www.bassani.com/dealers/

I'm pretty sure they can ship it to the dealers and install it there.
