Vo, so you are using the stock y-pipe or do you have custom piping or what?

why can you not run better than a 13.5 my fastest was a 13.22 with just testpipes, pop charger, and aluminum flywheel. and that was with my fatass driving so idk why you would not be able to do any better.

.
your math sucks because 10k of that equation isn't really helping your 1/4 mile time.

and you can get a decent exhaust for 6-700. Titanium is expensive and rare and isnt for someone on a budget. Besides if you wanted a 1/4 mile car you should have stuck with the stangs.

+1. There's always going to be something faster/cheaper. If straight line speed were the only part of the equation, then the Z wouldn't be nearly as successful as it is.

If you are interested in maximizing your quarter mile performance, why are you dropping $4,000 on wheels and $4,000 on a big brake kit? You couldn't think of a turbo kit you stupid ****. People like you annoy me.

Not very intelligent. You are a few fries short of a Happy Meal, but unfortunately I can't arrest you for being stupid.

I didn't pay $4000 on wheels, I was just making a comment to the guy that told me "if I thought $2000 for an exhaust system was expensive, just wait untill I had to spend $4,000 on a big brake kit". I just wanted to make a point that I would like everyone's advise to be cost considerate.

My car came with my wheels for $19,000. I don't want just straight line performance, or I would have purchased another lightning. I love my Z, and I just wanted to know what some of you might have done to upgrade your exhaust for added HP numbers, without adding a loud or fart exhaust sound, and at a cost < $800.

I appologize for not being more clear, but damn some of you guys are brutal.

so you don't have an enormous budget yet your here asking about a titanium exhaust

most of the aftermarket exhausts for the car are priced in the 700-1000 range. You dont have to spend 2k+ for titanium. And for the most part they should all be a little bit lighter than stock.

alot of members have borla, nismo, injen, fuji(non ti) etc etc. read some reviews on those brands. Lots of people have posted video/sound clips here or im sure you could find some on youtube.

nope box is not ti, i have the arc intake on my z, and i dont know why they dont include the tube with the intake, guess just another way to overcharge haha

on another note, JIC makes a single exhaust ti i think it weighs ~10lbs and cost should be ~$1500

im waiting for my arc single pipe dual tip exhaust, that true dual is just way too expensive

Good luck waiting on your Arc exhaust--my exhaust order through them took 6 months and at the end of this wait ARC Japan informed the vendor and I that they refused to make the exhaust for my car. This, after I already bought close to everything ARC made for the G with exception to the oil cooler. Got a refund and ordered the Amuse titan--arrived 6 weeks later. Couldn't be happier.
