I put this on my 350z today and was woundering? I drove the car home and touched the plenum and it was hot still. I have the valve closed, only reason I ask is because I touched a guys plenum with on a G35 and it was super cool. Just asking hope for some insight thanks guys. May be dumb ?

 

how long was the g35 shut off before you felt the plenum?

 

did you gain power? That's all that matters to me w/this mod?

 

You know I am not sure mine was off about 30 mins and was still hot. But I will just call Tony 2 morrow and ask him. Yes I did feel some power gain in the mid range pulled better I have the kinetix high flow cat and JWT Pop Charger feels better.

 

Oh yeah. If its off for about 30 minutes it will be the same temperature as everything else in the engine compartment.

Iso Thermal reduces the plenum temperature while you are driving. Typically reducing plenum equilibrium temperature by about 30-60 'F. Once you shut off the engine the plenum temperature rises to the temperature of everything else in about 2-3 minutes.

Try checking the plenum temperature immediatly after a spirited drive. It will be a lot cooler than the stock configuration.
