Default Got my car back. Injen exhaust and JUN Flywheel installed.

I finally got my car back yesterday and let me tell you it is good to be in a car that has so much ***** like the Z. It was on bricks for almost two months as I waited anxiously for the JUN flywheel. It took some adjusting (about two minutes), but driving the Z is the greatest feeling in the world.

Now on to some observations:

The JUN flywheel is an absolute piece of work. The shifting is easier, it feels lighter as you go through the gears, the car revs faster, and the ride is much smoother. For $425 it is the perfect upgrade for your tranny. Now all it needs is a Stage 1 clutch and this car will pull harder and become more responsive than before.

As for the Injen exhaust just one word: AWESOME. I love the sound of this baby and it feels like it had made a world of difference on the car. The car doesn't feel as sluggish as it did with the Stillen exhaust (probably because a lot of weight was saved), and the car feels a lot faster than before.

I haven't dynoed the car yet with either upgrade, but when I get my UR pulley installed, I'm going to put it on the dyno and see what it produces.

Next upgrade: a good car wash with multiple coats of Crystalguard!

Nice! All I kept hearing was about how unstreetable the JUN flywheel was supposed to be.

How long did it take them to bolt the flywheel on?

How does the JUN feel below 2500 RPM? Is it a chore? What is the weight on the JUN?

It had taken my mechanic about four hours to install the flywheel, and there hasn't been hitches with the flywheel as of yet. As Kyle at SGP racing had said, the other guy who had purchased a JUN flywheel had it installed backwards and that was why it wasn't engaging, but I trust my mechanic shop and they had done an outstanding job. As far as streetability is concerned, I can shift through all six gears with no problems so that's streetable enough for me.

As far as weight, the JUN flywheel is only 14 lbs and if you have any problems with the clutch in the future, it is resurfaceable. Out of all the flywheels available, this one is definitely the cheapest and gives great weight savings.

Is there a significant amount of tranny noise since the install? I read the article in sport compact about the jim wolf flywheel and it stated the tranny made alot more noise in lower rpms.

There's no rattle at idle. The workmanship is top notch and I look forward to what else JUN can cook up for this car.

Hey, Kyle sorry for the misquote, but I think they got the idea.

Hey mark, I can cruise by Landspeed to let you get a feel for it you want. Just PM if that's cool with ya.

So there is no "chatter" in the transmission with the new flywheel on? Have you tested at various speeds and accelerations?

Where did you get it installed at, if you don't mind me asking?

I had it installed byt the guys at Superior Racing Development. They're located on 5th St and Smith in Tempe. Really great guys.

Yeah, I had ordered it from sgpracing. Really great price for this piece of equipment.
