Default o2 sensor or Cats?

I tried to search but I'm not exacty sure which answer would pertain to my problem so I'll just ask for help. I installed high flow cats over 3 months ago and now I get the dreaded "service engine soon " light. I used an OBD2 scanner and found out the code related to the cats sensor in bank one. Is there I trick I'm not aware of to prevent this from happening (non fouler)? Also do I need to replace this sensor to prevent my engine from running lean? I'm not even going to pretend like I know what I'm talking about so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ahead of time for any help.

1. What HFC's you running. Some are know to cause this, and you may need foulers.
2. you may have a Bad o2 sensor or lose connection.

I installed Berk Cats and have no CEL.

also can your scan tool read a/f? if it can check it. I know sometimes you can reset the ecu so it can re-learn fuel trim and adjust a/f. I did that with my test pipes and it worked. No more CEL

Its very unusual for high-flow catalytic converters to give you a SES light, but it is possible. I suspect that the problem is a failed oxygen sensor.

how many o2 bungs do you have? 2?

put the o2 sensors in the extended one (the one where the sensors don't actually stick out into the piping)

i had the same problem and that fixed it for me

if that doesnt help you probably have a faulty o2 sensor, they are fairly fragile.

I have the UTR high flow cats and as far as I know there is only one o2 sensor on the cats. Also on the scanner I had I cleared the code but should I still replace the o2 sensor? Thanks again for all the help.

How many miles are on the catalytic converter? I doubt that the cat has failed internally.
