Default bumper removal for injen intake

is there any way around not removing the bumper to install the intake? also any problems sucking up water?

i would remove the bumper ..that is just me..it is less of a pain..anyway, ive had mine on for 2 years and no water problems and i drive in heavy rain all the time

I did not remove the bumper when I did mine, still went in fine. The trick to getting the elbow through the hole is to push in the outer bend so it can be straighted out, stick it though the cowl and let it snap back in to place.

You will need to get the car up on ramps or stands to put the filter part in though.

I've been through some serious rain and never had a problem but it is a factor if you are gonna go through deep water. Use at your own risk.

Members long ago have figured out how to install the long Injen. Check the Injen posts from 2004.

if you dont take it off you will wish you had the first time around lol. Taking off the bumper is rather easy on this car. Fitting the cold air extension down the hole without removing the bumper is much more difficult. I've done it numerous times and do not recommend it anymore.
