i installed my hks and i am stuck between folding bumper or not. i agree, the pipes are real nice but i don't like how you can see all underneath the car (kinda too busy in my opinion).

I was apprehensive at first, too! But after a week...I couldn't take it any longer! Those secondary canisters are just too cool (IMHO) to hide. That and I'm thinking of getting a Nismo Finned Diff cover! If I do, I'll either have it polished or powder coated black. If polished, then it'll match must better with the pipes. If black, it'll show just the pipes! Even as-is, I like it! To me, it's not unlike a motorcycle showing off some of it's engine parts with a scanty fairing! But hey, to each their own...I say, try it with the bumper unfolded and if you get the urge, like I did, then fold that sucker! It's much, much easier and the fold is much "sharper" if you use a floor jack.

The leather seats, yes! Thanks, a lot! I'll be looking to do that one day. Got any pics?

As for the Nismo kit. It looks pretty cool. A member here had a DBZ with the Nismo fin/splash guard things with the HKS and folded the rear. Looks good. Here you go:

do it man... its really easy and it looks cool. i did it when i built my single exhaust. i actually used the stock tabs and just moved them up. there are two holes up a bit higher on the bumber support that i stuck the tabs into. then i put self tappers in the middle.

Since I've had mine, it hasn't gotten any louder. Then again, I haven't really ranked on my car since I've installed them.

For me, this is a good thing. I wouldn't want it to get any louder. I'm assuming HFC would make it louder. I may go that route one day.

One thing I have noticed though, and anyone please feel free to call me out on this if it's just in my head, is my MPG. My MPG (overall average) has gone up from around 16.8 to about 20.9 (mixed driving, but mostly city).

i am guessing that is correct regarding MPG. i also have a 5th gen prelude, and when i installed a greddy evo2 cat-back i gained an average of 50 extra miles per tank. just an extra lil perk! so i guess, technically the hks could pay for itself over time with gas savings----yeah that is how i will justify it---it isnt a performance mod---just a mpg booster--yeah thats it.
