Ordered a blue AEM CAI from Options Auto Salon (www.optauto.com) and when it got here it was missing the AEM MAF adapter that allows you to remount the MAF sensor in between the two AEM pipes.

I have never had a problem like this with AEM and I am very disappointed. The piece is not some small nut or bolt either! Its a 4" long black tube! No biggie though. I should have the part by Tuesday and the intake should be in then. I just feel bad taht I had to cancel my dyno session.

But the guys at Options were awesome to deal with and I would recommend them. I called them up. They tore open another AEM CAI and went down the list, comparing every part with my incomplete kit. Then they put me on hold, called AEM and told them to express ship the part to me. It was one of my better customer service experiences in recent memory, and it wasn't even Options' fault.

And on top of all that, Options charged me $27 to ship the CAI, HKS circle earth kit, and a Fairlady emblem. Intense Motorsports wanted $50 for just the earthing kit and the emblem! These guys are awesome and they run their business the way it should be run.

Take care everyone, and look for some dyno sheets on the cat pipes, AEM intake, and earthing kit Wednesday after 2:00 pm.

Now you know why some stores stay open and others just go by the way side. Options had been around since day one of the import aftermarket scene.

 

funny you should mention this missing part! cuz the suns-a-bi#ches did the exact same thing to me! but i learned a valuable lesson....ALWAYS CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE PARTS BEFORE YOU START!!!!! you know that pice that your suposed to leave in from the oem intake? the black plastic thing,that works as the ram inlet?(the very first thing in the system!) well i decided that i didnt need it any more, so i CUT it out and removed it! only to find out that i was missing the maf adpt! so i couldnt even put it back to stock! luckly my friends over at auto solutions in va beach got me one delivered in LESS than 24hrs!!?? (free of charge!) im not sure who they went through, but i was impressed! if you guys read this THANKS AGAIN GUYS!!
