I just notice this,....the pipe from the muffler to the tip also looks suspicious. I wouldn't even think about buying that exhaust system if it looks like that. It too bad of a quality to be HKS.

PS - I forgot to mention that HKS doesn't sell just the muffler or the tips, they only sell the whole system. So, regarding to the earlier thread, its my mistake to said that the guy could buy the muffler from HKS.

I bought it off a member on the g35driver forums. He told me it was an hks for sure. I went to his house to pick it up and he was an older guy that seemed pretty honest and legit to me. He sold it to me for cheap because one of the flex pipes was torn and was showing the coil inside the flex pipes weave. Some of the piping looks dull because the exhaust is pretty dirty.

My xo2 had a emblem on the left canister. I think only the knock off of the xo2 (I know pretty ridiculous) do not have a logo. I think yours is legit man, my tips dont look that good at all.

Ill take it from what everyones saying that it is an hks. The only reason i wanted confirmation was because the guy sold it to me for so cheap so i was kind of skeptical about it. I guess i got lucky :] . Thanks everyone for your input.

Look at where the bolt holes are relative to the very tip of the exhaust as compared to yours

Yeah i noticed that also. The bolt holes on my exhaust are so far back, so if the exhaust was installed, the tips would be sticking out past my bumper a good amount. The xo2 and hks tips look like the holes for the bolts are in the same location leaving me confused to why mine is different from the both of the companies. The guy i bought the exhaust from told me it was strictly for a g35. I didnt understand why he said that because from what i know, the hks is the exact same for the 350z/g35 except that you would need extensions for the g35. It kind of makes sense why he said it was strictly for a g35 because of how the tips are set to be sticking out further. But i dont know, whatever!

Its is an HKS. For several reasons

X02 has a tiny square on the passanger canister with a logo.
X02 has a non welded top canister. The hks is welded around the top, like your.
X02 has discolored tips

i believe it is an hks exhaust. By looking at the sound resonators, they look just like mine and any other hks. xo2 is more angled, hks's is more rounded.

HKS canisters are welded all one piece (exhaust muffler and other canister) and the Xo2 is two separate pieces

im gonna say not hks...

if you look at the silencer bolt in the tip, it looks smaller than the bolt hks uses. in another thread for a true hks system, that bolt is described as a "big frankenstein bolt".

wierd

Kinda reviving a dead thread but I may have found the culprit. Various people have given proof as to how it not XO2 and other have given proof it isn't HKS. What about the other HKS knock off? CX racing puts out an exhaust that looks..I would say identical.

http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant...gory_Code=CTBK

I really don't see any reason for it not to be CX.

^ The link that you posted has a knock off that has discolored tips, and also looks to be a non-welded top canister. Which would mean that he has a HKS exhaust.

Well, no harm in trying. Between the 2 knock offs (CX and XO2) which is a better knock off? I would say XO2 since there was a good amount of debate before it got resolved here.

I would say x02 since its half the cx price. A knock off is a knock off, if your already being cheap, might as well get the cheapest of the two.
