Question JIC melting rear bumper

Hey guys, with the JIC Spartan, the placement is melting my rear bumper...I have centered the exhaust but I know it is still going to melt it in some places. I wanted to spray something on the muffler so I can just remove the melted plasic easily then just sand the bumper (it is the underside...hardly visible) after it has melted the spots. can you spray anything on stainless steel to help keep the platic from sticking? What can you use to get off the plastic already melted on the muffler?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if I would use a dremel.

Use a hair dryer to heat up the plastic, works every time.
