well i just moved to central florida about a week ago (from jersey) and i am already experiencing the hydro-lock jitters... especially with fay almost hitting my town.

i am looking into alternative set-ups for my nismo intake... because i feel that this cold-air setup is not going to work for too long.

my question is... has anyone attempted to convert the nismo CAI into a short ram? i.e. placing the filter on the MAF adapter as opposed to in the bumper? it seems like it would be a questionable fit and support for the maf/filter is non-existant... i would need to fab some sort of bracket. has anyone done this?

alternatively, i was considering just attaching the stock airbox onto the MAF and just keeping the nismo upper intake tube. i am not sure this would be a good fit however, it seems that the nismo CAI upper intake tube is about an inch or two longer then the stock equivalent. any input/advice?
