It should. That portion doesnt use a vband clamp so u should be able to hook it up to any rear section

^Yes. The XYZ bolts up to any exhaust that connects to a Y-pipe.

More power, better throttle response and less rasp.

Curious to see how this exhaust compares to the HKS/Stillen/Fast Intentions and other TD exhaust in terms of performance itself.

No problem.
You'll be doing one of the tests.

I swapped our the MD shockwave rear section with the JIC rear section. It doesn't rasp anymore! I love it. It is also quieter and the drone isnt nearly as annoying, although still loud..

Awsome. The JIC sounds better with the resonated XYZ.

So now that you have the Y back section of the exhaust switched out, how do the relative sounds compare now?

Loudness, tone, quality, drone...

I wasn't there for the test so Plumpzz will have to reply to that.

What exhaust are you running?
Would you like to dyno compare it to whatever you are running now?

Hey. I should make a video but I'm really busy moving into my dorm and my birthday stuff plus its kickoff weekend at school. I will do it soon.

The setup was a 9whp gain with the baseline being JIC + ebay y pipe and the post setup being MD Y pipe and the rear section. Its believable since the Y pipe is very well designed. I don't know about the rear section since I don't know what a trumpet really does in terms of horsepower. I'm not just whoring it out, I'm not making any gains here. I'm not even keeping the exhaust. This is just my honest opinion/observations.

Ninja edit,
Misread the last post

Testing like that really should be done on the same day, same conditions, same tank of gas and all that stuff.

I'll let Zexy do that test if he likes.

lol thanks for the offer. i got rid of my jic. no doubt though this exhaust looks like a VERY nice piece. not doubting any credibility as a legit, quality product.

i and others just know its ******** when a single 3" straight exhaust makes 9whp over the other.. when it comes down to both the decision should be made on looks, material, price, etc. not phony dyno claims

He said the 9whp gain was from the change in y-pipe AND the single exhaust. The eBay y-pipe is a Nismo/Fujitsubo replica and a replica of a poor design. Tony's made improvements to the y-pipe and released his version which works well in combination with his own exhaust, which was yet another well designed piece. A gain of 9whp with the proper combination can be had, but dyno numbers shouldn't be taken to heart to begin with.

Plumpzz is the first to listen to and compare both the Shockwave and Magic with and without the resonated XYZ pipe, so he could answer that a lot better than I can. In fact, I think he already described a lot of the sound qualities in this thread.

BTW what exhaust are you running now?
