these pipes are staight bolt on items. no modifications are needed and provided you have a lift, they will install in 10 minutes.

 

did you experience any gains?

dyno yet?

 

throw any lights?

 

i have not gotten a chance to dyno it, but this is a mod that you can sure feel a diffrence. by the way, no CEL on yet

 

A set of Nismo Headers next??

 

ill be talking to you about nismo headers after i get my z back from the shop...

my guess is he is going to pass on the headers cuz gutted cats / test pipes are poor mans headers..

 

i am holding back on the headers because im planning on a turbo kit soon.

soa re you saying that the TEST pipes make a bigger improvement than headers????

and if so, if you add the headers with the test pipes will there be any gain??

(i would imagine that Test pipes would add more, because cats are so restrictive VS stock headers, just my guess, thoughts??)

 

as far as i konw the headers get rid of the cats all together... taking up the space of were the test pipes would go..

i havent looked into the design of the z that much but im guessing it will do that too...

poor mans headers are basicly guttin your cats... but people have been putting in test pipes on the z because the cat is a sepperate part from the stock headers..

the long tube headers like borla etc.. are longer probably so they take up the space of the cats...

 

Borla's are not long tubes and you still retain 2 cats FYI.

hey, u are right i did get spaked by the supra with 850 hp at the wheel.. but at least i can race with him.. just for thought i am upgrading the pullies on friday
