Exclamation I need help with test pipes and exhaust?

Ok, so i have a 2008 Nismo 350z #1393, and i am going to buy Titek stainless test pipes for my nismo cat-back exhaust that came stock with the nismo. but, what i am worried about, is will it fit? i have been looking at the nismo exhausts on the web and none of them look like the ones on my car. so if any one has any information, help, or tips on install etc. then please respond thank you.

Yes, it will fit. Make sure it's for 2007 +. But why Test pipe? why not HFCs? no smell gas, no CEL lights. TP < HFC.

NismoZ is stock exhaust with bigger tips and has nismo 'logo'
( Hope owner doesn't mine using his picture)

Nismo S-tune, more sharp tips, it is 3" y-pipe back.

If I recall, Titek does not make test pipes for the 07+ year model Z's.

Only Berk, Fast Intentions, and AAM. And yes these will fit your stock exhaust and all other aftermarket exhausts.

ok, thanks for the response, on the titek test pipes that i am looking at it says 04 and up but out of all the test pipes mentioned Berk, Fast Intentions, and AAM what do you think is the best, and as for the CEL light, i know how to fix that problem for about 14 bucks

No you don't know how to fix the problem. The non-fouler trick works on DE engines (03-06 year models). You can put a non-fouler on the HR's but it will eventually show a CEL after you drive a certain amount of miles. It might behoove you to add brillo padding into the non-fouler to lengthen the interval of when your CEL shows.

I recommend get a test pipe that comes with support brackets. This will provide support to the test pipes and will help prevent cracking.

With that said I believe Berk is the only test pipes that utilizes support brackets. However, they are also the only ones to utilize 2.25" inner diameter piping, while Fast Intentions and AAM use 2.5" piping. It is up to you to decide whether you want 2.25" or 2.5" test pipes.

so you think i should just go with the hfc rather than the test pipes? the test pipes that are 2.5 inches will be louder and generate more hp right?

No. To be honest, I don't know which test pipes generate more hp. Even if one does produce more power than the other, it will be a marginal difference.

One thing you should take into consideration: What cat-back exhaust will you be using? If you are using your stock one, then think about it. Your stock piping diameter is somewhere in the neighborhood of 2.25". If you throw on a 2.5" test pipe mated to your 2.25" stock cat-back, you will have a flow transition from big diameter (2.5") >>>> small diameter (2.25"). That will disrupt your flow and hence it can make your exhaust sound like crap.

Let's say you got the Berk HFCs or test pipes, both which utilize 2.25" piping. Then you will have a perfectly mated exhaust system; 2.25" cat/test pipes >>> 2.25" stock exhaust. I believe this is the best setup. Others may disagree and I could care less.

BTW, I recommend get Berk's HFCs. They will not trigger a CEL and have proven gains.

Non-foulers? But i don't know if it works for HR model.

AAM test pipes come with a built-in non-fouler, positioning the O2 sensor much further away from the exhaust stream. Notice the J-type bung in this picture:
