Greddy Airinx Kits
Your K&N intake has some kind of a heat shield on it, so the greddy intake would actually be a trade down. Short ram intakes with no heat shield on the Z (made by anyone) will be worse than stock.
Thank You!!! Finally I applaud you sir I really do, and im not being sarcastic you have finally fully answered my question in a mature and not sarcastic manor.
No hard date in that thread.
I think they are sick but i can't find any individual numbers in hp gains. Now Im a track kinda guy so i really can care less about crazy hp, I'm more concerned about throttle response. But I'm currently running a k&n fipk Type 2 intake, so im really just wondering if its better?

Secondly, as others have mentioned, they suck hot air into the engine. It may not be a huge deal on the Z, but on the RX-7 that can be a real engine killer. I ended up changing out to a K&N filter with a heat shield.
On my '06 Z, I believe the general consensus on this board that the stock system is probably the best combination of good filtration, air flow, and intake temps.
Even the top secret short ram? It may be pricey, but it eliminates the MAF pipe, and plugs right into the tube.
