Has any one removed the Resonators on this exhaust? If so what does it sound like and why did you do it?

 

im sure that would be insanely loud.

I have the injen exhaust with testpipes and it is very loud

 

a friend gave me his exhaust and Im thinking of cutting them off and running straight pipes....weight benefit and hopefully power gains as well......im just unsure I dont want to ruin a nice exhaust......its just a thought

 

i have the injen true dual with resonated testpipes and it is extremely loud, i was thinking of adding a custom h-pipe to mine to equalize the pressure between the two pipes. i think if you remove the resonaters it will be extremely raspy because the injen is already a little raspy at certain rpm's but its your car

 

I removed the resonators and replaced them with a Magnaflow x-pipe muffler. I was running test pipes at the time and there was too much drone with just the resonators. With the x-pipe, the drone went away and I have a deeper, more exotic exhaust note. The added benefit is I have more torque!!!

 

the resopnators on the injen when i had then were blown out... or so i was told.. was super loud and raspy.... but sounded mean on WOT lol
