Default Zred 2.5" Test Pipes...NICE

I know there has been many threads about test pipes but I wanted to share with all of you my pipes that i received from Adrey(aka Zred)

I paid 250 for the 2.5”pipes and another 40 for overnight shipping. I’m running stock. Just have the test pipes.

First off, they were very well made and crafted. The welding was very nice. They were a perfect fit. Even the guys at Nissan thought they were great pipes. It took about 15min to install.

Weight: I believe someone said that the stock cats were 12pds (correct me if I am wrong). These pipes are definitely 5pds or Less. I didn’t weigh them, but I know what 5pds feels like. JMO

Sound: It sounds great. At first, I didn’t hear a difference. But that all changed after a week. The sound is just like stock, but that grunt or roar at 3500rpms is definitely enhanced. People(who don’t know about cars) think I have an aftermarket exhaust. It’s not to loud yet not quite either.

Power: No, I haven’t dynoed nor will. Can you feel a difference? Absolutely! I don’t know how much hp I gained, but I can definitely feel a difference in power. Good mid-high power. Not kick me back in my seat, but good power.

CEL: I’ve had these pipes for 2 weeks now. The CEL came on after the fifth day and went off two days later. It hasn’t come back on.

Smell: Yeah, it stinks a lil. I don’t mind it at all. I made the mistake putting 85oct (in mass 93oct is $2.10) and it smells worse then 93.

After reading the threads about the exhaust shoot out, some people are wondering if they should invest in an aftermarket exhaust. IMO, these test pipes are a good choice. You will cut weight, while gaining power and sound, without swapping your exhaust. Oh, and they are only $250. (next week, nismo headers, full suspension kit and exhaust)

Thanks Zred
Cheers everyone

they are all made of s/s and the flanges are made of the same thickness as the factory sizes for a perfect fit. they also have the o2 bungs attached to them..

Any chance of a group buy? At $200 shipped I'd be all over this.

Also, do these generate that raspy/tingy sound @ 3-4k rpms like the guys with lsdunique's pipes reported?

I'm guessing they do, unless maybe slight shape or diameter differences on these make them better.

I'd be in for a groupbuy also. $200-$220 shipped range sounds great to me.

Perhaps this test pipe is a better option for those with the Stillen exhaust system since both are 2.5".

I was interested in this but would rather get lsdunique's pipes since his are 2.25" which matches the diameter of the Borla.

Just a thought.
