hks hi power dual install
are there any good shops around irvine/newport beach/lake forest/costa mesa? I got quoted from corner 3 garage and they said around 170-200. I know I could do it myself, but I have no car experience and I dont want my leakes from gaskets and stuff, I want it done right.
You may not feel comfortable doing it yourself, but trust me... It is alot easier than you think. It is a straight bolt on that will take you under an hour, if even that... You might want to consider looking somewhere else. Those bastards are over-charging you.

+1, I skeptical about doing my exhaust, but it wasn't that hard and havn't had any problems... just make sure you screw on the bolts tight enough with the gaskets inbetween.

its a shop man, there going to charge you an arm and a leg, i mean its pricy for just a catback but they go by a book generally for prices of specific jobs, they will just give you that general price.
bro get some stands, its so easy man just bolts and nuts. you just can't go wrong. unlike my borla that has clamps and u have to make sure everything clears before u close the clamps. but hks has flanges its easy
Do you also need glue/paste that you put in the joints/seals? I'm sure I had to use some when I put on a muffler on an old car of mine. If a muffler is easy then I would have a go at a full cat back exhaust if it was me, although I'd need a ramp to do it (luckily gf's dad has a ramp) - not happy doing it on a car jack and couple of stands.
Shouldn't need any glue/paste for the gaskets. I did mine with jack stands but the jack stands I used had the emergency bar that slides through just incase they fail which made me more confident.
