Default 2.5" dual exhaust too big for n/a?

Anyhow I have 2.5" headers with 2.5" resonated test pipes and my question is if a 2.5" dual exhaust setup is just too much for my n/a setup. I'm also thinking of replacing my current setup and going 2.25" long tube headers with a 2.25" dual exhaust. any suggestions would be appreciated.

A 2.5 inch exhaust is perfect for n/a. i have 2.5 inch long tube headers. ive had a bassani exhaust, borla and now motordyne. the bassani started out 2.25 and went to 2.5, borla is 2.25 all the way and my motordyne starts 2.5 and goes to 3in. i felt the borla holding me back but felt the biggest improve ments with the bassani and motordyne. but once i modified the borla to 2.5 in it felt stronger. this is a buttdyno but ive experienced all these exhaust with better flowing parts such as my long tube headers. dnt downgrade in performance with 2.25 , you just need to find the right combination

I am thinking of going that route aswell. Using magnaflows resonated x-pipe then two silencers into either magnaflows dual in dual out or two round magnaflow mufflers side by side, kinda like skunks.

I'd like to see where you are gonna fit all this under the car and not scrape/rip it off within an hour of intalling it?!?!

first setup i mentioned is like borla, aps, type style just with a magnaflow universal 5x11 dual in dual out at the rear exit. second setup would be like skunks or any other exhaust which has two round mufflers welded together set horizontal.

Well honestly, im just going to give my 2cents of advice. I had the bassani exhaust and i actually thought i lost power in the low end and didnt really gain to much up to. So i sold the cat back and got 2.5 resonated test pipes + stock y-pipe +tanabe medialion exhaust. I noticed a great improvement with low end all the way to top end.
My brother has aam test pipes + aam y-pipe + nvidia n1 catback = wow that is a monster on a cold start and even when it warm.

All of them are 2.5 inch exhaust but not true duel (idk how you call it) just 2 to 1 to dual exit???(please tell me the name of it lol) I love the set up i have and my brother loves his. I honestly think true due is left for F.I with our cars and n.a best with the set up i mention on the 2 to 1 to duel exit.

Well like i said this is just my 2cents advice.

Nah it's great. I was looking for advice like this when i brought up the subject. The reason why i didn't mention a single exhaust setup was that I figured my 2.5" testpipes would need a y-pipe with 2.5" inlet and a collector of 3" which I thought would be too loud having a 3" exhaust. Which now everyones telling me a true dual setup would be louder. Anyhow having a y-pipe with 2.5" inlets and merging to a 3" outlet then going to a 2.5" mid or b pipe is counter productive.
