anyone have a borla true dual on their Z or G? i just installed it yesterday and below 2k rpms it causes a strong resonance.
Is that just the borla being loud when i accelerate from under 2k rpms?
Just gathering opinions from other people with borla.

Maybe the car isnt warm enough,, with my EvoTT if the car isnt that warm the exhaust will vibrate a bit under 2K rpms, which causes a loud sound coming from the rear
but when it gets warm enough the sound goes away
but when it gets warm enough the sound goes away
the exhaust is could be hitting something, cause mine doesn't make any resonance or whatever. but i remember after i installed it. the passenger rear holder of the exhasut would touch the metal part where the ruber holders go

i lifted the car and moved the exhaust on the passenger rear around a little and didn't hear it at idle once i started the car up.
we'll give it the driving test tomorrow and see if that makes a difference.

the resonators have about an inch clearance from the m brace.
it went away for a while today but now it's intermittant.
also, why does it rattle when it's cold? lol. that's just weird because the exhaust shouldn't change much once it is heated.
I'll try to move things around and get more clearance. This slip fit exhaust just doesn't move much so it's a pain.

ah ya! i also have that passenger side sticking out further. at a glance a person wouldn't notice it, but it's like 1/4-1/2" further out on the passenger side.
pretty gay for 1200$ of exhaust! lol
I'll get it figured out when i do my engine build. I'll have it on the lift and be putting headers/test pipes on so i'll are align all the exhaust better. Working on the ground wasn't very easy.

how many washers? i already have some space, washers don't sound like a good way of adding more space with a brace that has strain on it.
Just don't add more washers then is needed to clear your exhaust and you will be fine. The only thing that i could see being a problem is if your car is lowered. Because adding washers to your brace will bring it closer to the ground. And could potentialy catch on something.

thanks!
ya mine is lowered so i'm not going to worry about it. I'll check it out and move things around when i do the headers and test pipes. so far everything has enough clearance. Maybe it's a suspension part that only happens when taking off because it's when i take off and the exhaust is between 1500-1700 rpms.
