Default Nismo exhaust TIPS

hey everyone,

i recently bought the nismo catback exhaust off on another FX driver, but he had the exhaust tips changed back to stock in order to make it seem like more of a sleeper. does anybody know where i can find just the exhaust TIPS...you know...the ones that say "NISMO" on the sides...

please let me know...I am installing the exhaust next week

I didn't know you could replace the tips (unless he welded them off and on).

Can you post pics of the exhaust?

I belive he had to cut the nismo tips and then welded the stock ones in place.
Are you sure it is a Nismo exhaust? How can you tell?

most likely, when the 350z guy sold it to the fx guy i think he swapped the tips because he knew the pipe needed to be extended anyway

that's exactly what he did...
it's a nismo exhaust off of a 350z nismo, it just has extended pipes to fit the FX35 properly...
i'm sure that it is a nismo...idk if there are any other markings other than on the tips i didn;t really check...are there markings anywhere else like on the muffler or....

I love the tips on my Nismo exhaust. They don't have those cheap thin tips that every other manufacturer uses.

Don't think you'll be able to find them. Your best bet is to find an used exhaust off a nismo 350z, and cut those exhaust tips off.

if he got it off of a nismo edition 350z,it isnt a nismo exhaust, its just a stock exhaust that had nismo engraved tips and looked a little nicer. theres a difference between the exhaust off of a stock nismo z and the nismo s tune exhaust

You won't be able to get the tips by themselves as an actual product since it's considered to be the same part number as the muffler itself.

You could probably get some tips custom engraved with Nismo or something. I don't think you got a Nismo exhaust myself.

yeha i know i called the nissan dealer and they told me that.....
also....I was told it was a nismo exhaust, the 350 guy the fx guy ought it from said it was nismos, the fx guy said it was nismo (and I heard it; it sounded like a nismo) and apparently now they tips were chnaged to sdtock when they exteneed the pipes to fit the fx

it's a nismo exhaust with stock tips apparently: it sounds like a nismo exhaust

it's apparently a nismo catback exhaust. it sounded like a nismo exhaust when i heard it. the 350 owner said he changed the tips so it looks stock instead of having the nismo tips.

it is apparently a real nismo exhaust simply with stock tips that were put on when they extended the pipes for the fx owner

I know you all are "looking out" for me

but this is apparently a NISMO exhaust.
the tips were apparently changed back to stock when they extended the pipes to fit the FX.....

but is there any other way (markings, engravings, serial numbers) to tell if it a a "real" nismo exhaust, since all of you are under the impression that it is fake simply ebcause of the stock tips....

i agree why would someone do that, sleeper? when the exhaust is obviously louder and it still says nismo on the muffler and you cant really see the nismo thingy on the tips. so i wouldnt worry too much about it!

sounds like the OP wants nismo tips to put on his stock exhaust

but yeah, why would you do a sleeper mod on a something that gives the car any power gains.
